Macmillan Cancer Support | Text Santa 2015

This Friday 18th December will see Text Santa return on ITV with a Christmas Jumper Day to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support, Make a Wish Foundation and Save the Children. Even though I watch these programmes each year along with Children in Need and Comic Relief and other events, this one this year is going to mean the most.

*

Throughout 2015 my family and I have  gone through a lot and sadly in November this year, I lost my beautiful mam.

A Macmillan nurse visited us once a week throughout my mams illness. She helped us with questions we had, worries we were having and how to go about our day to day lives whilst my mam was sick and after she passed. Macmillan got us equipment for our house to help my mam and got my mam her very own wheelchair so we could get out for walks and get her places much easier. Along with the NHS they helped us with medication and any complications that occurred.

Without Macmillan support I can assure you that our days would have been longer and darker. Even just having someone at the end of the phone to give us support when we needed it most was more than we could ever have asked for.

Every penny counts that is raised this friday and every other day for each of these charities and I now personally see how important it is and what they can do.

❄ WAYS TO TAKE PART

1) Take a picture of yourself in your favourite Christmas Jumper and upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the #TextSantaTruprintSelfie and Truprint will donate £1 to Text Santa for every selfie uploaded.

2) To join in the fun and get your very own Christmas Jumper Day Fundraising Kit click the following link.

3) Get involved with the Text Santa Auction where you can bud for lots of amazing prizes!

4) Visit shops such as Primark, Argos, HobbyCraft, Homebase and more to grab some of the official merchandise including jumpers, badges and bracelets.

*

Please please please donate what you can, if you can and get involved. The work these charities do is helping many people and without them I don't know what some would do.

Tune in to ITV on Friday at 8pm to watch Text Santa, an entertaining night for some great causes.

Thank you so much for reading,

Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mist | 12th November 2015 ♡

I purchased a wee present for myself in duty free before flying to Ireland. I have been wanting to try out all the Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mists for so long, but, there is only one Victoria's Secret in Scotland, and thats at Glasgow Airport. So seen as I was going to be there I made sure I was early enough to have a wee lookie.

After spending at least a good half hour going through all the different scents, of which there are hundreds by the way, I settled on one of their more christmassy ones, Frosted Apple.

I honestly cannot express to you how delicious this fragrance is! On the back of the bottle it explains that this scent is Apple & Whipped Cream: The perfect holiday treat. Refreshing mist is infused with conditioning Aloe Vera.

Also, how stunning and cute is the bottle! The sparkles just make it so pretty.

For all you fellow scots or anyone that fly's from Glasgow Airport at some point, I got this for just £10. Online and Im assuming in store it can be purchased for £12.07 and its currently on a three for £20 deal here. Victoria's Secret Frosted Apple ♡

Let me know if you use any of the fragrance or perfume range from Victoria's Secret. I cant wait until my next purchase from duty free!

Changing to a Wintery Perfume | 6th November 2015 ♡

So its getting to that time of year again where especially up where I live, you can feel winter fast approaching. Over the summer I enjoyed all my usual lighter scents and my signature scent ALIEN which is my all time favourite.

Now that its colder outside I find I like to change up my perfume and go for something much warmer and much more christmassy! I know we all have that one perfume that we wear religiously but sometimes it is nice to change things up a bit.

Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck Enchanted is my favourite wintery scent and since I received it two christmases ago, its been my go to perfume at this time of year.

This is the second perfume that Taylor released back in 2012 following on from her beautiful Wonderstruck scent which I have too.

The scent itself is very woody and quite a mature smell compared to her other releases. The scent includes a blend of beautiful wild berries and passionfruit. It also includes peony blossom and white freesia with base notes of vanilla and white musk. Many people say that it is quite a summery scent but to me it is heavier and warmer than others I choose to wear over the summer.

Let me know what your more wintery and christmassy perfume favourites are, I would love to try something new.

Hello there! I thought I would show you guys this incredible palette from Makeup Revolution called GIVE THEM NIGHTMARES. I picked this up in Superdrug for just £4, yes, £4 guys and its amazing.

It has come in so handy over the past couple of days for the Halloween things I have been dong. Its full of stunning shades to make some perfect smokey eyes with a pop of colour.

Isn't the packaging so awesome, thats the first thing that caught my eye and Im still loving it. Even the packaging of the actual product is so pretty, so sleek.

The colours themselves are so pigmented and a really nice mixture of matte and shimmers. Look at those pops of purple! There are 18 different shades to pick from so you have so much choice.

Sass & Belle Haul | 23rd August 2015 ♡ (The Post I Forgot To Post!)

I can only apologise, my head is all over the place recently! I wrote this post about a month ago and forgot to post it for you all to read. Hope you enjoy and Im sorry If some of the products are not there any more, hopefully they still are!

 ♡......................................................................................................... ♡

Sass & Belle, as you know, is one of my favourite online stores. My mums birthday has just passed and I purchased a couple of things for her that she loved so I thought I would share them with you today.

Don't forget to check out the Sass & Belle website, there is something for everybody!

www.sassandbelle.co.uk

This beautiful owl decoration is really small but so cute! With BEST MUM written on the front its perfect for a Mothers Day or a birthday.

I purchased this for the kitchen. Its a cute little plaque  that is perfect for any cat lover out there. It is quite small so fits into any little place.

Obviously as it was my mums birthday I thought I would get some cute little gift tags to put on her presents. This packet has three different designs and are perfect to finish of a well wrapped gift. I love the vintage look they have and they go with any kind of wrapping paper.

This little vintage storage tin is perfect just sitting next to your bed or on a dresser. I keep the jewellery I take of inside it, ready for the morning but it would be perfect for any little trinkets or even some sweeties!  Its a pretty pink colour with the words 'Love You To The Moon & Back' on the lid.

As I was buying for my mums birthday I picked up some wrapping paper. My mum loves owls so I got this cute wrapping paper set with little blue owls ringed all over it. It came as three separate big sheets so I still have plenty left over.

The final thing I ordered from Sass & Belle is this really cute iPhone 5/5s cover. There are a few different choices to go for but I just loved the colours in this one and the Zebra it so cool. Its really sleek and protects your phone really well. Have a wee look through the different designs, they are all really lovely.

Thank you for reading my little post, I absolutely love Sass & Belle so I will most likely be making another order really soon!

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Sleek Blush & Contour Kit | September 2015 ♡

Ive recently heard really great reviews about the makeup brand Sleek. Sleek is a brand that sell at really great drugstore prices and are one of the fastest growing brands on our high street at the moment. I decided  I would pick up some items and see what their all about.

Check out their website below as they have loads of products to choose from that all look amazing.

Funds are short this month (Ive just started Uni) so I started by just picking up two items from their website, a blush and a contour kit. I could have picked up so much more, so much choice, and I think I'll be making another order soon!

First of all let me tell you about the blush I picked up. As you can see from the photos the packaging is so lovely, very Sleek ;)

I got the shade Pomegranate which is a gorgeous pinky red colour that I think is going to be of great use to me in these autumn and winter months.

Although it looks pinky, once applied to the cheeks it has a lovely reddish tone to it which I just love. It really warms up your makeup look. Its so pigmented and you only need to use a tiny amount on your cheeks as the colour really pops.

I also picked up a face contour kit as Ive heard the sleek ones are super good. I chose to get the shade 'Light' as I saw from reviews on the site that the shades are quite dark anyways.

Is the packaging not just unbelievably nice, Its so plain jane but perfect. They are also quite small so they are great for throwing into a travel bag or a handbag to take with you.

In the kit you get the contouring shade on the left and a highlighting shade on the right. They are both matte shades and really easy to blend when applied.

The kit also came with this wee step by step guide to contouring for all you beginners out there who are new to contouring.  I really love how this shade looks on my skin which is quite pale, I would recommend to only use the darker shades if you have darker skin tones or have a darker tan.

I love the two products I have purchased, let me know below if you too enjoy Sleek products and what other makeup items I should try out.

Hope you are all having a great day.
