Caberfeidh Shinty Club v Strathspey Camanachd | 25th April 2015

This weekend Strath Cam travelled up to Strathpeffer to take on Caberfeidh Shinty Club. Bad luck has always come upon the club whilst playing Caberfeidh and turns out this weekend would be no different.

After just 20 minutes into the game my boyfriend Bruce took a bad hit to the knee, resulting in him ending up in A&E. Not only that but our friend, defender Tom McKeand also joined Bruce there with a broken thumb which happened just minutes from the end of the match!

Cabers won 2/0 in the end, the first goal in my opinion being a lucky shot as Strath Cam really did keep up with them well and kept their heads up despite having to play with a team full of injuries. So I say well done to both teams, but especially our boys in coming out with only a 2/0 loss to one of the North Disvision Two's strongest teams.  I never saw much of the game and had to leave before the end but here are some photos I managed to catch.

Floral Patterned Outfits ✿ Spring Looks

Floral patterns are my favourite. I always think a nice floral statement piece can be dressed up or dressed down for the lovely spring weather and for so many different occasions.
Recently I picked up some new pieces that all have floral pattens and I thought I would share them with you as Im obsessed!

This midi length skirt is stunning. The bright pink, blues and purples against the dark skirt stand out beautifully. I paired it with just a plain black strappy top and a plain black cardigan so that all the attention is on the skirt. I then added a pair of pink pumps for some more colour. I cant wait to wear this!

I also picked up this second midi length skirt still with floral patterns but in darker colours. This one has large white flowers all over the skirt which has some subtle blue tones in it also. I paired this one with the same strappy top and black cardigan but with a pair of mint green pumps to match the skirt.

The final items I picked up were these amazing pair of blue ankle trousers and the beautiful white cardigan. The trousers are such a statement piece and are so bright and summery. The cardigan is also so lovely to wear, its really light, nice and long and has the most beautiful daisy detail down the front of each side. I paired this with a black top and a pair of simple black heels.

Thank you for having a wee look, hope you are all as excited about the sunshine coming out as I am.

Sass & Belle | The Brand/Mini Haul ♡

Sass & Belle is a beautiful brand I've recently discovered that do little bits and bobs for your house, gifts and lovely trinkets. They have five wee stores down in England (which I cant wait to visit) and a lovely website full of gorgeous things I can't resist. They have many affordable things for you to choose from and their style is just right up my street and I think you can find something for everyone.

Recently I had a wee look on their website and picked up one or two little things. At my boyfriend's house I have a lovely wee dressing table that I haven't used very much yet. I wanted to add a few wee bits and bobs to make it a nice wee area for me to do my hair and makeup. The first thing I bought was this lovely photo frame. Its a rustic wood off white frame that looks so pretty sitting next to my mirror.

It takes a 10x15cm photo which is the perfect little size. I think this frame could go anywhere in your house, especially in bedrooms and living areas.

I cant find this on the Sass & Belle site anymore but you can get it from Amazon for just £5.57 here.

Another thing I picked up was a hanging decoration that I have hung in the little alcove of my dressing table.

Its a heart shaped vintage hanging decoration. It has beautiful pink flowers to one side and what I think is a Blue Tit Bird sitting in the middle. The background is the print of an old postcard, I love anything that looks vintage and the detailing around the outside of the heart is beautiful.

Its about the same size of my hand so quite small but looks lovely hanging up.

Buy for just £1.95 here. (Last Chance)

The final thing I purchased was also to hang from the alcove or maybe even to hang from my mirror is this lovely Daisy Patterned Heart Decoration. Its actually a christmas decoration but I don't think you'd ever know, to me this is much more spring like. I got it in white but it is also available in silver too.

Buy for just £1.75 here. (Last Chance)

Take a wee look on their website, and if your lucky enough to live close by to one of their stores do pop in as I'm sure you'll find something. Lots of little craft stores round where I live have some Sass & Belle things for sale so you may find some of their products where you least expect them. They have so many items great for gifts to treat yourself, your family, your friends and loved ones.

Strathspey Camanachd v Lewis Camanachd | April 18th 2015

Strathspey Camanachd had a fantastic weekend with not only the boys winning, but the girls winning our match too! Strath Cam welcomed Lewis Camanachd to Grantown on Saturday for what turned out to be a cracking match. Both teams played well but the boys in purple came out on top with a 6/0 win! Strath Cam played so well, its awesome to see how far they have come on since just last season.

The excitement on the sidelines was so much fun to be amongst as it usually is at our home games. I love the atmosphere during Shinty matches and its something everyone should experience.

The Man of the Match was Lawrence Belleni and the goals were scored by Mark MacDonald (3), Graham Shand, JJ Gray and Steven Kersley.

The Strath Cam Ladies then took on Cowal and Bute on Sunday. We had such a great game, we really feel ourselves improving and becoming a really good team! We won 5/0 to a strong Cowal and Bute team who played really well. I thought we played fantastically and I so enjoyed it myself.

Our Women of the Match were Jade and Hazel Longworth and our goals were scored by Jade Longworth (3), Stacy Tinney and Jess Hart.

Here are some photos from the boys match on Saturday. Enjoy :)
