Wilde About The Girl | September 2018 ♡

Includes Spoilers.

Wilde About The Girl is the second novel from Louise Pentland, following on from her number one bestseller Wilde Like Me. I so enjoyed the first novel and finished within a couple of days. It was hilariously funny yet so true to life. The book was based on Robin Wilde, a single mum trying to find her feet in life juggling an 8 year old daughter and a job she has always dreamed of in the makeup industry. Robin also wants to find love which results in a disaterous relationship which taints her idea of finding true love. I really loved the character of Robin and got so attached.  I was over the moon when Louise announced the second book and couldnt wait to hear how Robin's story panned out.

This second book is still as hilariously funny but with so many more heart warming and heart wrenching momnents. The lovely Edward, who Robin met at the end of the first book, is still on the scene, thank goodness. She is still succeeding at her job where they have bagged a huge job at London Fashion Week and Lyla is still surviving in her new school, life seems to be going swimmingly for the Wilde girls.
However things all seem to come crashing down for Robin when a major error threatens her job. Robin then discovers she has fallen pregnant which she struggles to handle, especially when her best friend Lacey has been trying with no success for so long.

Just as Robin comes round to the idea of the new baby and the new direction her life has taken she is struck down again when she miscarries. Louise talks about the subject beautifully, she touches on not only how Robin is feeling in this situation but how it affects Edward and how important it is to have others around you when life takes such a heartbreaking turn.

The story is gripping and once again I fell for so many of the characters, enjoying seeing how all of their lives have developed.  I cried for Robin and Lacey, laughed at Lyla and cheered for Cath. I love the friendship group that Robin has developed over the books and of course even I have fallen head over heels for Edward, what a dream he is.

If you havnt read the Robin Wilde novels I would say you really have too. They are such funny, lovely relatable books to enjoy and Louise in my oppinion is a brilliant writer.
Thank you Louise for bringing these characters to life and letting us enjoy their journeys. Im so looking forward to future books from you, wether they are Wilde books or new stories.

Hope your having a lovely day,
Amy x

Zoella Beauty 'Cosmos' Christmas Range | September 2018 ♡

Wayheyyyy, Zoella has a new range out! My excitement levels hit extreme when she announced it on her latest vlog and I ended up hopping over to Superdrug. I purchased a few bits from the range so I could share it with you guys today. This collection is called the 'Cosmos' collection and is the 2018 Christmas range from Zoella Beauty. Can you believe it, the Christmas ranges are officially hitting shelves, where has this year gone! Also what I noticed straight away is that this range is cruelty free, brownie points there Zoella Beauty.

Anyhoo, dosen't this range just look absolutely stunning. Its a space, universe theme and everything is based on this gorgeous navy blue with baby pink and holographic decoration. As per usual the range is so astheticaly pleasing.

First up, my favourite, the new fragrance. Look at it!! Cosmos looks very sophisticated and I love the navy to clear ombre on the bottle. The little stars give it that cute zoella twist. The fragrance itself is absolutely my new favourite. The scent is a blend of mint and red fruits which gives it a very mature scent, a scent that could easily be a perfume as well as just a body mist. Like Mark said in the vlog I too feel this is a unisex scent and its just so different to anything she has released before. There is no doubt I will be wearing this religiously over the next couple of months. I picked up the Fragrance Collection which is what my body mist came in along with a 100ml Cosmic Creme Body Lotion which I can assure you smells delicious on the skin.

Another firm favourite of mine in all Zoella Beauty ranges is the hand creams and this one has not let me down! Reach For The Moon hand cream comes in a 90ml size which I love as it lasts so long. Again, the box is the gorgeous and decorated with beautiful holographic designs. The hand cream tube itslef is holographic with the pretty little stars again. Having used it a couple of times myself already I can assure you it makes your hands so soft and the beautiful smell lingers for quite a while.

The Milky Way Milk Bath Powder is a new addition to the Zoella Beauty collection and would you LOOK AT THAT PACKAGING! I actually just want my entire bathroom to have holographic décor, The bath powder is a moisturising bath milk which includes peppermint and vanilla to soothe your skin and leave it so soft.

I picked up a few gift sets from the range including the Mini Supernova Bathing Collection. This gift set includes a mini Star Shower body wash and the body whip. Both smell as beautiful as the other products and with the navy, pink and holographic finish, they look stunning.
The final thing I purchased is the Star Glazer Lip Balm Duo. Both are 8g and use the beautiful navy and holographic design again. I cant believe how much I adore this packaging! We have a Shea Nut lip balm and a Cranberry Shimmer one also. Ive been wearing cranberry shimmer and its a lovely way to keep your lips hydrated with a lovely sheen.

Overall, packaging aside because I could go on about its beauty all day, the range is another spot on one from Zoella Beauty. My favourite as always is the fragrance, I can't wait to add it to my collection and the different shower products I can't wait to take away with me on a trip soon. There are a few other bits to be found including bath oils, fragrance roller balls, a bath & body cracker set, mini fragrance set and two larger gift sets.

Ill list the prices below and where you can get everything from. They will make fantastic Christmas gifts for friends and family from main presents to stocking fillers.
Hope your all having a lovely day,
Amy x

The Tattooist of Auschwitz | August 2018

(I will be talking about some bits of the book that may give away spoilers)

I spend most of my year reading books about children's laws, curriculums and other things Id rather not read in my spare time, but thats Uni life for yah! Ive started reading for my own pleasure again over the summer and its been sooooo great. I cant wait to share with you some of the books I have been reading.

The first book I wanted to share with you guys  is The Tattooist of Auschwitz which is also hands down one of the best books I have ever read. Having visited Auschwitz myself, much of the books scenes hit me hard as I was able to imagine myself in many of the places the characters were. Much of it is based in areas of Auschwitz which is now open to the public, a trip Id say everyone should see at some point in their lives.

The book itself is a true story and follows a young jewish man called Lale. Lale finds himself imprisoned in Auschwitz during the second world war, promising to himself when he first arrives that he will leave one day. He learns to keep his head down, stay quiet and do what he is told. He then begins to earn the trust of soldiers which leads to him becoming the Tattooist of Auschwitz, a job he realises in the end may help him to survive this horrible place.
Lale meets Gita, a young girl also imprisoned within the camp and instantly falls head over heels for her. There love blossoms and it becomes a sense of joy and hope in such tragic circumstances. They face many challenges just simply trying to see each other but there love cannot keep them apart. They are each others hope of a much brighter and happier future.

The book is not only heartbreaking and eye opening but sweet, romantic and a love story you can't help but getting completly involved in. Lale is a character I became so fond of, his cheeky charm and the love and compassion he has for other people. Its a story where I personally grew really attached to the characters and I couldn't put it down, I needed to know how the story went and Id finished it over just a couple of days. When writing the novel, Heather Morris grew a friendship in real life with Lale and told his story how he wanted. She did such a beautiful job in the way she wrote it, she helped you to see the best and the worst of such a terrible situation.

I would highly recommend picking up a copy of The Tattooist of Auschwitz if you haven't already. Its a story that will stick with you, make you realise how lucky we are in our generation and what little things we take for granted. It still blows my mind that these things actually happened in our history and not even that long ago.

Let me know if you have read this book too, I would love to know what your thoughts and feelings about it. Ill link below some places you can find a copy of the book online.
As always, I hope your all having a lovely day,

Amy x

Make Time for Friends | August 2018 ♡

Over these summer holidays Ive been soooo busy. Trips away, festivals, Shinty and giving our home a little summer makeover. It wasn't until I was at the gym yesterday and my brain went off on a wee tangent that I realised Ive not spent much time with my friends lately. I literally live 2 minutes, 3 streets away, from one of my girls and we rarely have a chance to see one another. It got me to thinking about how much I appreciate my friends and how much fun we have together. That includes my boyfriend, he's my absolute world and also my best friend.

Now that were all hitting our mid twenties we get busier and busier with life. Were all working on our careers, our relationships and our families are starting to grow. Were becoming the women that our younger selves looked up too. Thats scary!

When you go through things in life, its true when they say you realise who your true friends are. Losing my mam was the hardest thing Ive ever been through and I was so lucky to have friends who surrounded me with so much love and support. They knew what to say, what message to send and what to bring when they called over. They were like a little army shielding me from the hurt I was going through. To these girls, I owe so much.

A few days ago my group of girlies and I went down to the beach close to us. It was 24 degrees, we all brought drinks and snacks and had the place pretty much to ourselves. It was absolute perfection. We chatted for hours, paddled in the water, laughed and lost track of time. It reminded me that we must do it more often. We did nothing groundbreaking, we talked about complete rubbish but we all left smiling and feeling content. Another night I had recently was having dinner at one of our houses and played a beer pong tournament. What a laugh. With our friends who live further away from us we went on a little weekend trip altogether to a holiday home we hired. It was perfect.

Having friends is like having your own group of therapists, they listen, they chip in if its needed, they make you realise what it is you need. I couldn't be without my friends. They are literally the family I have chosen for myself. Yes I have lost some, I may lose some in future (I hope not), but right now the friends I have mean everything to me. I encourage anyone who is reading this to make the effort to spend more time with them if you feel its been a while. Even drop a little text or a face time if you are away from one another. One of my best friends travels the world playing golf but we never lose touch, we make sure to drop a message every few days just to say hello. Be there for them like they are for you.

I hope this wasn't too rambly, I wanted to get out what was floating about in my head.
Hope your having a lovely day,

Amy x

The Band Musical | July 2018 ♡

For my birthday at the beginning of the year I was given tickets to see The Band musical, a brand new musical featuring the music by Take That. If you know me, you know Im literally the biggest Take That fan! Ive been to every tour since their reunion and to me are amazing.
Take That also have a very special place in my heart as they were my mam's favourite. Going to their shows with her were my ultimate happy place. She adored them and seeing the boys or their songs live just takes me right back.

The show uses all the songs and lyrics by Take That but is not a story about the life of Take That. It was written by Tim Rice and the current production is directed by Kim Gavin & Jack Ryder. The band in the musical is portrayed by Five to Five, a band that was put together on the BBC talent show contest Let It Shine. AJ Bentley, Curtis T.Johns, Nick Carsberg, Sario Solomon and Yazdan Qafouri were fantastic in the show. They sang and danced their hearts out to every number and their energy was unreal. Would love to see the boys doing their own thing in the future too.

The show was absolutely amazing and the cast were sensational. The story begins in 1992 and follows five young best friends Claire, Heather, Rachel, Zoe and Debbie who are all obsessed with The Band. After seeing them in concert they swear to be friends forever. However after a sudden tragedy they lose touch and part ways. 25 years later, Rachel wins tickets to see The Band and so begins the journey of the girls reuniting. Its such an emotional, powerful show of friendship and love and the Take That songs fit perfectly into a beautifully thought storyline.
I laughed out loud at so may bits, the characters are truly brilliant and the friendship is so real and true to life. The cast were all wonderful and brought such energy and fun to the show.

The show is currently on a wee break but continues in September at the Cliffs Pavillion in Southend. I shall list the tour below if you want to see if its coming to a theatre near to you as it runs right through until early 2019. If you are a fan of Take That its an absolute must see. It was a night full singing your heart out, laughing, tearing up and dancing to all of my favourite Take That songs, even some surprise gems thrown in the mix. I so hope it tours close to me again, I would love to see it one more time. Also, fingers crossed for a Take That tour next year, I can feel it coming!

Hope your all having a lovely day,
Amy

A Day at Wimbledon | July 2018 ♡

So I had the amazing opportunity this year to attend Wimbledon. Its always been a dream of mine to go and I jumped at the chance. Bruce is a huge Tennis fan and Im very lucky that I now have family who work at Wimbledon and got the chance to see everything that goes on. Going into Wimbledon at first, it quite honestly took my breath away. The place is sheer perfection, like Disney, every detail is thought of. The flowers that lined the buildings and courts were stunning and the staff were the nicest people, the first person I met at the gate who searched my bag said 'I love your dress, hope you have the loveliest day,'. That made my day! The sun was shining down which was a bonus. I do apologise in advance for the lack of photos, I spent most of my time just taking it all in.

We hit up the Pimms hut first, placed on Murray's Mound. Although expensive I wanted to have a pimms as I feel thats such a Wimbledon thing to do. Ended up have several as they were soooo good! Isn't the flower wall stunning!

Then it was off to Centre Court, I felt like such an important person! The first game we saw was Muguruza who is unfortunately now out but what a game. The second of the day, I couldn't believe my luck, was Nadal. What an experience that was. The game was really exciting, Nadal literally owned it. I secretly spent a lot of my time trying to work out who was in the royal box, Im still not sure who was there unfortunately. I did spot Cliff Richard sitting just next to the box, looked like he was loving life. Centre Court is massive and the atmosphere in there is electric, I can't begin to imagine what its like to be at the finals, thats my next aim. So happy I got to see Nadal, he's a dream.

For the rest of the day we cruised around looking at the Wimbledon store, getting some food (theres loads of choice) and meeting some friends and family who work at Wimbledon. Whilst chilling with a Pimms on the hill we saw on the big screen that resale tickets were being sold for some of the courts and we managed to bag ourselves two tickets to the Sharapova against Diatchcenko game.  We sat in the sun for the rest of the evening watching what turned into a brilliant game. Diatchcenko was playing so well but I really thought Sharapova would sail through so when she lost we were shocked! It was a great game to see.

As the sun set over Wimbledon I can't tell you how sad I was to leave. What a place and what an experience. Wimbledon is like a little world, a little bubble that everyone needs to experience. Bruce and I spent the rest of the night up in Wimbledon Village which is full of shops, bars, cafe's and  takeaways and is another place that is lovely to spend a day just wandering.
If you ever get the opportunity to go don't even hesitate before you answer yes, its such a great day. I so hope I can return soon and spend a few days there rather than just one, theres so much to see.

Hope your having a lovely day,
Amy

Splash Botanics (Zoella Beauty) | June 2018 ♡

If you have followed my blog for a while you will know Im a huge fan of all the ranges Zoella Beauty releases. It completely passed me by that there was a new summer range coming out until I stumbled across it in my local Superdrug a week before it was meant to be released....happy days! Unfortunately my Superdrug didn't have all of the range so Im sharing with you the bits I could pick up, I hope to share the rest when its officially out.

First of all, the packaging. Is it not the most beautifully presented range she has done so far, I love the pastel pink and palm leaves, gives me such a holiday vibe. I was so happy that I got to pick up the Botanic'Eau Body Mist, another to add to my Zoella Beauty body mist collection. This body mist is so fresh and light, really nice to spray on for everyday wear. Its very different to all the other very scented body mists Zoella Beauty has released before, its really rather gorgeous.

Another thing I managed to pick up was the Quench Me Body Sorbet which smells just as fresh and light as the body mist. Quench Me features hydrating coconut water and radiance boosting lychee aimed to leave your skin super soft and hydrated. The packaging again is just perfect, makes me want to go on holiday sooooo much! The Make a Splash Moisturising Body Wash is already a hit for me  in the shower. It lathers up so nicely and leaves the scent lingering on your skin.

A new one for Zoella Beauty, the So Soft Lip Oil. Ive never used a lip oil before and i'm totally taken by it. It gives your lips a gorgeous shine but lasts so much longer than a lipgloss. I put it over my lipstick yesterday and I barely had to top up, game changer! I would highly recommend this as your new handbag essential.

This range is very different to others that Zoella Beauty has released, much more stripped back and basic but still so lovely. Im so enjoying the body mist, Ive had it in my handbag all weekend and can't resist spraying it every so often. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the Splash Botanics collection, officially released on June 20th. I will link everything below once it becomes available, theres two bath items and a new Zoella bag.

Hope you all have a lovely day,
Amy x

Disney Store Haul | June 2018 ♡

A Disney Haul, what better way to start your day! Ive been spending so so much time lately looking at Disney holidays I can't yet afford and its been so amazing. This led me to notice that the
Disney Store had a 20% off sale last weekend and I couldnt resist picking up some of the things I have had my eye on for a whiley now. They have so many amazing summery things at the moment.

Ive had my eye on this Aristocats mug for so long and finally found the excuse to buy it. Isn't it so stunning. I adore the illustrated pictures on it, also the pastal colours its finished in are perfect. It is absolutely huge though, Its almost like having a bucket of coffee but I love it. There are others in this collection including Lilo and Stitch, Alice in Wonderland, Mickey and Pluto and Bambi.

One of my favourite things I purchased is the beautiful Mickey and Minnie pitcher with matching cups. I plan to fill this full of cocktails over the summer and at Belladrum.  Each of the cups are covered with fruit artwork and the pitcher has Mickey and Minnie with a raindrop effect behind them. Its so bright and summery and I can't wait to use it them! They are really big as well, lots of juice/alcohol will be consumed through these. I also picked up the Mickey Mouse Fruit Infuser water bottle which is something Ive wanted to try out for ages. Again, its really beautiful summery colours with a lovely image of Mickey on the front. Cant wait to try all these out.

These drink sleeves are also going to come in handy during this summer and at festivals. They are The Little Mermaid themed and part of the Oh My Disney range which if you haven't checked out yet, you must! The aim of these is to help keep your drink cold and after taking them camping with me, they certainly work on super hot days.

The whisks, a random one. Ive been doing a lot of baking recently and its one thing Ive never bought, what better ones to buy! They are great and I love that I have two different sizes. I also purchased the Lion King shopper bag, it was only £1.50 and it fits everything from this haul inside it. Its so handy, Im going to leave it in my car for my shopping.

Hope you enjoyed a little look at what I purchased from the Disney Store. They still have some great offers on at the moment which I suggest you have a wee lookie. I shall link everything I purchased down below incase you fancy anything. Hope your all having a lovely day and catch up soon,

Amy x

Dear Mum | March 2018 ♡

Dear Mum,

Happy Mothers Day, I miss you still so much.
Although you are not here today I wanted to thank you. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories you made for me and those we made together. I treasure each of these every day and relive them as much as I can. They make me so happy and the photos we took together make me smile.

Thank you for always being my best friend. The trips we went on together and with family.  I really miss our shopping trips, those were my favourite. The concerts we enjoyed together and sang our hearts out too and the times I lay with you and we talked until we drifted off to sleep.

Thank you for teaching me all the things I needed to know. For all the skills I have been able to use through my personal life and my work. You guided me when I had no idea what I was doing and you helped me when I thought about giving up. You taught me how to be brave and how to keep a positive mindset even when it seemed like there is no light in the darkness.

Thank you for supporting me with every decision I made and never judging me when I was wrong.

Thank you mum for your hugs and kisses when I needed them most. You helped calm me down, wipe away my tears, make my day brighter and show me whats most important in life.

I hope I make you proud mum, everything I do and everywhere I go I keep you in my mind. You continue to guide me and inspire me most. You truly were and still are the greatest mum. I can only hope that Im even half as great a mum to my children as you were to me.
Thank you for everything you wonderful, amazing lady.

New Favourites | February 2018 ♡

January was a bit of a long month for me. I still had no car, which is no use when you live in the middle of nowhere like me. Thankfully, I finally have a lovely new one and I'm steadily building up my confidence again. I got a little KIA Rio and she's fabulous, my top favourite of the things Im going to share with you guys today. It feels great to just be able to drive myself to work everyday and be able to go home after. Im so enjoying my freedom again.

Before I ramble on about my car, heres another few things I have been loving recently.
Firstly, Giovanna Fletchers newest book Some Kind Of Wonderful is, like the title says, wonderful! I love G's style of writing and have enjoyed every book she has written so far, this is another belter.  It follows the lovely Lizzy who is on a journey to discover who she really is after a breakup that left her wondering what to do or where to go with her life. I totally recommend this book if your looking for something to grab a cuppa and a cosy blanket with. The hardback edition is on offer right now for only £6.49. I read it in a couple of sittings and loved it.

When I was in Paris I finally got to visit SEPHORA (blogpost still to come)! I loved it and could have spent hours wandering about. My two favourite items that I picked up were, firstly, a beautiful eyeshadow palette by Zoeva. There was a lot of choice when it came to these palettes but I went for the Rose Golden palette. Its full of beautiful warm matt and shimmer shades which Ive been wearing daily and using on night out looks.  The pink shimmer shades such as 'Just a Rose and Shining Bright are what I've been living for and I'm actually obsessed. I also picked up the Sephora Smoothing Primer which I have been trying out over January. I apply it under all my makeup and it makes my face feel so lovely and soft. My foundation literally glides over the top of it and I feel its lasting me so much longer. I really cant wait until I can get back to a Sephora!

The cosy jumper you see in the background was one I found in the Topshop sale. To me its a proper, old school wooly jumper that you see in really old photos. Its so soft and the floral pattern on the front is beautiful and gives it a more modern twist. It was still quite pricey in the sale but I just had to have it. I love pairing this with a pair of cosy leggings, ankle booties and a think scarf.
Its now down further in price; Cream Embellished Jumper and If your needing an extra thick cosy jumper, grab this while its  there!

My little Chip mug has been used daily since I got it for my birthday! Its from Primark and I have the Mrs Potts teapot too. I cant bring myself to use her as she looks so lovely on my shelf, although, I think a wee boozy tea party with some cocktails might be where she come's in handy! Each of the Chip Mugs were £6 and Mrs Potts was £12. I managed to find them in the big Primark in Dundee when I was away. Im hoping they are still about but I know that they fly off the shelves! Keep your eyes peeled if your after them.

The final thing I have been loving over the past few weeks is another bottle of my favourite scent. I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of Thierry Muglers' ALIEN for my birthday. Its been my favourite scent ever since my mam bought it for me when I went to college 6 years ago and I wear it daily. I can rarely afford to pick up a bottle as it is pricey so I was over the moon to recieve this!
I hope you all had a more productive January than I did. Now that we are into February I have begun University again, Im back to work and we are also approaching the Shinty season. Feels like Christmas & New Year was a million years ago already! As always I will try and write to you all as much as I can even though Uni will take up a lot of my free time.
Let me know below some of your favourite things you have been enjoying since Christmas.

Happy Thursday ,
Amy x

My Birthday at Disneyland | January 2018 ♡

When we booked to go to Paris over New Year, I knew exactley what it was I wanted to do for my Birthday on New Years Day... Disneyland!! My whole life I have been a huge Disney fan and I really wanted to take Bruce to the park to show him just how magical it is!
We got up so early on the 1st and had a 40 minute train journey out to Disneyland. We arrived just after it opened and were literally buzzing as we walked up towards the park. Once we were in, walking up the Main Street towards the castle was one of the best feelings Ive ever had. I was literally the happiest person in the world at that point and was trying to not get too emotional. The castle was stunning and it was still quiet when we arrived so we got to just stand and take it all in. I couldnt quite believe we were there. The first thing I did was purchase some Minnie Ears. Its a necessity when you go to Disneyland, I got the gorgeous purple ones celebrating Disneyland 25.

We decided to stay in Fantasyland to start and move around throughout the day. We did the Carousel first, then the Mad Hatters Teacups, The Voyage of Pinocchio and whilst it had no queue we did Peter Pans Flight which was awesome. A wee flashback to when I was 5, I went to Disneyland with my mum & dad and dragged them several times a day on the Its a Small World Ride. I had forgotten this until we were wandering and I heard the music playing, all these memories came flooding back. The ride hasnt changed a bit and I felt 5 years old again. We walked round to Discovery World which had one of my favourite rides of the day; Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain and did that twice in a row. What a ride it is, my inner Star Wars geek really came out at the parks.

After a wee pit stop for coffee and a serious amount of pastries we headed over to Frontierland which was Bruces highlight of the day. This land is all Wild West themed and you really feel like your walking about in an old cowboy movie, complete with Saloon Bars. This is where Big Thunder Mountain is quality, I was actually a bit scared but its such an awesome roller coaster. We did some of the shooting galleries and had a really nice time wandering through this land.
Adventureland is next door to Frontierland and this is where we found the hidden gem of the day. Whilst having a wee look about we stumbled across Indiana Jones Temple of Peril which we didnt realise was a rollercoaster. It had a waiting time of 5 minutes so we just wandered in. Turns out this was our favourite ride of the day. We rode it four more times as we loved it so much and there was no queue at any point of the day. I highly recommend this one if you visit the park.

We had a One Day - Two Park ticket so after we had been round once we went over to Walt Disney Studios Park. Here is where the amazing Rockin Rollercoaster is and thats what we headed straight for.  I have done it whilst in Florida years ago and was so excited to take Bruce on it. We did it twice in a row as there was no queue. The heavens had absolutley opened by this point and we were soaked to the skin but it didnt stop us! We then had some lunch which was so tasty, I got a veggie burger and mickey mouse cakes which is the lunch of champs! After lunch, which probably wasn't the best plan, we did the Tower of Terror which is one of the scariest ones in my opinion but such a thrill ride! We didn't stay in this park for very long as we wanted to get back to the other park for the Parade.

The Parade was magical. We got a position right infront of the castle and I smiled from ear to ear throughout the whole thing. All the princesses, the classic characters, the pixar favourites they were all there and I havnt stopped humming the parade song since. When we knew the parade was coming to an end we made a mad dash to Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain as we knew it would be quieter during the parade. We rode it twice more! I absolutley love that ride. We then went on the Star Wars; The Adventure Continues simulator ride which I enjoyed so much, It felt like we were right in the middle of all the action.

By late afternoon we decided to get a fast pass for Buzz Lightyear and whilst waiting, go round and do any of the rides we wanted to again. We were desperate to do Thunder Mountain but the queue was 50 minutes all evening. We did Indiana Jones a couple of more times in a row, still my favourite, and Star Wars again for good luck. It was at this point that we stumbleld upon the Haunted Mansion and went on it, its super cool, really spooky and I remember it from my childhood so well. What a view you get when your queuing for this ride, you can see the whole of the park. Then we used our fast passes on Buzz Lightyear but it kept breaking down. I really hope to go back one day to do it again properly.

To finish off the day we had some dinner at Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost. It was so good, we each got a pizza, some garlic bread and an ice cream. Also enjoyed a beer with our meal which was very much needed. I really wanted to take home something from Disneyland Paris so we popped into the Emporium on Main Street before the closing fireworks. Marie is my favourite character so I picked up a cuddly toy of her, a pin badge to add to my old collection and a couple of lovely postcards.

The closing fireworks show were the best way I could ever have finished off my birthday. The castle was lit up with projections of disney films and music from them all including The Lion King, Frozen, The Little Mermaid which played through the park. They even made it snow and the Fireworks were absolutely breathtaking. I kept thinking to myself that Im in the most magical place on earth, on my birthday, with my favourite person in the world, how can anyone get so lucky?!

Thank you Disneyland Paris for the most wonderful Birthday ever. I really cant wait to return and Im already planning when. If your thinking about going to Disneyland Paris or any of the Disney Parks around the world, just do it. You will have no regrets and will have the time of your life.

Thank you for reading,
