Macmillan Cancer Support | Text Santa 2015

This Friday 18th December will see Text Santa return on ITV with a Christmas Jumper Day to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support, Make a Wish Foundation and Save the Children. Even though I watch these programmes each year along with Children in Need and Comic Relief and other events, this one this year is going to mean the most.

Throughout 2015 my family and I have  gone through a lot and sadly in November this year, I lost my beautiful mam.

A Macmillan nurse visited us once a week throughout my mams illness. She helped us with questions we had, worries we were having and how to go about our day to day lives whilst my mam was sick and after she passed. Macmillan got us equipment for our house to help my mam and got my mam her very own wheelchair so we could get out for walks and get her places much easier. Along with the NHS they helped us with medication and any complications that occurred.

Without Macmillan support I can assure you that our days would have been longer and darker. Even just having someone at the end of the phone to give us support when we needed it most was more than we could ever have asked for.

Every penny counts that is raised this friday and every other day for each of these charities and I now personally see how important it is and what they can do.

❄ WAYS TO TAKE PART

1) Take a picture of yourself in your favourite Christmas Jumper and upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the #TextSantaTruprintSelfie and Truprint will donate £1 to Text Santa for every selfie uploaded.

Please please please donate what you can, if you can and get involved. The work these charities do is helping many people and without them I don't know what some would do.

Tune in to ITV on Friday at 8pm to watch Text Santa, an entertaining night for some great causes.

Thank you so much for reading,
