This Must Stop.

'White people cannot just say anymore, yeah I am not racist, and think that that's enough, because it's not. It's not enough. Make no mistake, this is our problem to solve. How can the black community dismantle a problem that they didn't create? James Cordon

This statement, amongst many others, hit the nail on the head for me. It wouldn't be right, no matter how small a platform you have to not use it. Everyone must know about what is going on and what we can do to help. Ive been watching the news, refreshing social media and looking deeper into everything thats going on right now. It makes me sad, it makes me angry and it makes me embarrassed to live in a world where this fight is still going on.

Since heartbreaking footage of George Floyd emerged recently, handcuffed and chocking to death whilst white officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck, tension has risen across America but is also being felt throughout the world. This was murder, this was no accident and this happens too often.

We are unapologetically Black in our positioning. In affirming that Black Lives Matter, we need not qualify our position. To love and desire freedom and justice for ourselves is a prerequisite for wanting the same for others.

Please, educate yourself, educate those you live with and your friends, your family. Spread the truth of what is going on in a society which should be spreading love and kindness. Where will we be in just a couple of years time if this is the behaviour that is being shown to future generations.

To all those making the statement of 'All Lives Matter', yes they do, but it's not the case. All lives SHOULD matter, and we need to get to a point where all lives really do matter and everyone is respected, we need skin colour to not be given a second thought.

If anyone has more information they wish for me to include or if you think things can be worded better please message me. I want to help spread the right message and I need your help to do that.  Please take care, stay safe out there. Keep each other safe and stand together.
